About Me
Hi, I'm Lori Gillies. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, City of Gresham, Oregon, close to the stunning Columbia River Gorge.
I am the founder of Elegant Weddings & Events and I LOVE my job! I love to CELEBRATE this gift of Life. It is important to me that my business makes a difference to help others. That is why Elegant Weddings & Events also contributes to St. Jude Hospital for Children. I have been married for 36 years to the love of my life. We have two beautiful daughters that are married to two wonderful men and I am a very blessed to be a proud "Nana" of 5+. I love God and my faith in Jesus has transformed me from who I was to who I am now. However, I am a continual "work in progress" by my Creator and enjoying my life adventure. I deeply love my husband, family, church, friends, and our dogs. I enjoy camping, traveling, music, gardening, and riding my motorcycle.
My experience includes planning Weddings & Events for over 34 years both professionally and through ministry. I love celebrating life and helping my Client's with Decorating, Planning and Coordinating both personal and Corporate events. As a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator, Marriage Coach, Educator, and Relationship Life Coach, I provide tools to help my Clients with Communication, Healthy Conflict Resolution, Problem Solving and Goal Planning skills.
My husband and I have coached premarital and married couples for over 12 years through MarriageTeam (MarriageTeam.org) and 10 years through Prepare/Enrich (Prepare-Enrich.com). It has always been our desire to see marriages THRIVE not merely survive.
Relationships are forever changing and growing. My philosophy is, "Never stop pursuing your spouse's heart." There is always something new to learn.
